This sensor is the latest update to the original SOS Sensor. The sensor is enclosed into the new NEMA 4 enclosure. More protection for the sensor and faster detection with the improved circuit board. This unit also allows for the add-on of a remote microphone (not required or included).
Since 1992, the original Siren Operated Sensor (SOS) has been used to open residential, commercial, airport, government, and military gates during an emergency. SOS is currently used throughout North America, South America, and in Europe. If you need your gates to open for emergency responders, then you need an SOS installed today!
Once the "Yelp" siren has been recognized for 3 seconds, a trigger is sent to open the gate. The SOS is the most cost-effective way for emergency responders to access your home without stopping or leaving their vehicle to enter a code or to use a key.
